Hardware

Consulting Engineer

Designed and implemented installation of network operations center for Virtual Communications Corporation's ISP operations. Provided expertise for installation of T-1 Frame Relay backbone, T-1 ATM circuits for DSL service, programming and configuration of Cisco Frame and ATM routers. Supervised installation and configuration of NT4 and Unix servers, MS Exchange and Unix mail servers, IIS4 web servers, ISDN and v.90 modem pools.

1996-97 Virtual Communications Corporation Khabarovsk, Russia

Web Page Designer

Provided conceptualization and designed and implemented the web site for Virtual Communications Corporation's Russian office which involved the construction of a MS Access (SQL) - based on-line electronic catalog, dynamic web pages, design of an application-specific search engine, and combined applications of Win32 C/C++ CGI scripts, PERL, VBA and Basic scripts. System currently up and running with English, Russian and Spanish run-time modules.

ISP Senior Network Administrator

Set up and maintained one of the original ISP Unix servers in Khabarovsk. Duties included overall administration of system, updating of operating system and software/hardware, maintenance of e-mail accounts, development of Unix-based customer billing software, customer training and support, design and installation of dedicated LAN connection at American Business Center (Khabarovsk) to ISP, design and sale of PBX and private telephone systems to business clients, design and sale of wireline bypass (radio) systems to business clients.

Duties included basic system, support of e-mail clients. While employed by DV Partner was commissioned to design and implement a specialized search engine administration to search Internet for commodities suitable for trading in C.I.S. and tabulate results in a custom database for use by Russian commerce specialists.
